Team

The team currently consists of mostly Chemical Engineering students, however we are trying to expand the diversity of disciplines and bring in new students in various departments (especially mechanical + electrical).

2015 Team Roster

Chemical team: Abhijeet Kamble (Lead, Captain), Lee Xia Soo, Aliya Mitchel, Forrest Wight, Jhonatan Diaz, Marc Caruth

Electrical team: Athanasios Kritharis (Lead), Nadim Woolgar, Eric Roberts, Wang (William) Xi

Mechanical team: William Gumboc (Lead), Joshua Nurdjaja, Alvaro Valcarcel

Undergrad advisors: Norvin Ng, Joel Kumlin

Graduate advisor: Andrew W (PhD Candidate)

Faculty advisor: Dr. E. Gyenge

Students wanting to join should contact a team member or fill in the form on the “Want to join UBC Chem-E-Car?” tab. We will not turn away any dedicated hard working students that contribute to the project. However, due to limited resources and work space (which brings in safety concerns), we may at some point not be able to take on any more students. We will do everything we can to work around this and keep an open door policy – but we maintain that safety is our first concern (we assume students prefer not to go to the ER – not to mention UBC doesn’t like us going there).
